This morning just us boys...

made homemade donuts for Mom while she slept in.

It is a recipe that has been passed down through generations. It calls for a can of biscuits and a toy 4-wheeler to smash them with.

This is what it takes

to leave the house for 24 hours.!?

Santa brought Evan

a castle and some shining armor.

Evan is very excited

about the superhero PJ's Grandma got them for Christmas.

And it's a good thing he got a new umbrella, because it started "raining" while we were "camping" in the kitchen the other morning.

"Santa" got Evan

some very small Lego's. After taking the 20th one out of Henry's mouth, Dad made Henry write "Santa" a letter and put it on her nightstand.

Evan got a

bulldozer utensil set from Papa and Mae Mae for Christmas that he loves.

We can't let Henry borrow it anymore because it started to have a strange effect on his vision.

Dad drives too fast

running to the door at Grandma's for the Christmas Eve-Eve party.

We were at Burlington Coat Factory(where all the best toys come from)

the other night and Dad and Evan found a helicopter they really wanted.

So,we asked Mom if we could get it and she said yes!!!

When we got in the car Evan said"Dad, Mom bought us a helicopter,can you believe it?!" When we got it home, we had our 12 dollars worth of fun, then it broke.

Just us boys,

cooking our favorite breakfast,,cinnamon toast hot dog buns.

Christmas Cards

Mom has above average Christmas spirit,,but Dad at least likes getting the cards.

The Toliet Tragedy

Evan flushed a drinkable yogurt. After lots and lots of plunging and trying with an auger to get it out we had to get a new one.

So for "punishment" he had to go with Dad to Lowe's(Evan says Whoa's) and get a new one that turned out to be the wrong one once we got it home.

so the next day he had to go with Dad to the plumbing supply store to get the more expensive right one.

And the toilet is still not in and the plumber is coming in the morning.

Used the new fishing boat...

to move to Bev-er-ly,,,,,Hills that is.(just cleaning out the shop).

Hurry Christmas!

Here is a clip from the HUMC Christmas Program. The kids were all dressed as ornaments - complete with hooks on their heads! Evan had the role of "Roaming Ornament". Well really he was a "Green Ornament" but you can see which one he actually played.

Horse Show Video

Here is a short video from one of Evan's horse shows back in August. It has taken me a while (over a year) to figure out and organize our home movies. I finally figured out tonight how to shorten a video clip! We've been wanting to post this but the original clip was too long. So anyway, here is Evan being excited about winning last place! We're still not sure how he doesn't place first for enthusiasm!!

Dad is feeling guilty

about not being able to go with Henry to get tubes in his ears tomorrow(I couldn't figure out how to make "Cat's in the Cradle" play when you click on this). So, we sat down over some cheese and crackers to talk about it. We had some laughs and I told him that it was a very simple surgery and that everything would be fine...


All he said was "Surgery??,,what you talking bout Willis??

Elf on the shelf

Elf on a shelf, comes with a story about how he reports to Santa and moves around your house at night to watch you,,anyway,,He gets lots of respect around here(Henry's not concerned). Evan goes straight to bed every night! His name is Jo-Jo.(Dad wanted to name him Elf-is). (Dad also thinks he's a little creepy).

Henry's First Birthday

We had a party for Henry at Chuck E Cheese for his 1st birthday. He had a really great time! He LOVED the pizza but didn't really like the cake (although he had fun smashing it). Here are two videos from the night.

Thanksgiving feast at pre-school,

and Chief Brown Bear invited mom to join him for a traditional meal of chicken nuggets and red jello.

This past weekend

was Evan's turn to bring home 'Hopper' the class pet.(Hopper is a plastic frog in a plastic box).[that's a good thing, because we weren't very careful with him and we lost him several times]. We took him on a bike ride,

and a "big" bike ride.
and a backhoe ride(we got stuck).

He had pizza for supper...

and Henry tried to have him for supper!!

For Christmas,,,,

the boys aren't getting toys,,just boxes.

Henry said"Dad,,does this box make my butt look big?"
Batman did not want to get out of the cave and go to bed.

I WON A BOAT!!!

About a month ago I bought a raffle ticket from a girls softball team for a boat. Natalie found the ticket and said"did you read the fine print? It says the boat is used." I said yes, I saw the boat, and it was very used. Anyway, the drawing was last night and the guy called me this morning and I won! I showed Evan the pic at lunch and he said"It's not as big as our other boat".
